#1 – Stone Selection Disclosure:

The following disclosure constitutes your contract with us to fabricate and install your custom stone project. Please carefully read this document, then sign and date where indicated acknowledging that you understand and agree to the terms under which we will complete your stone installation.

Thank you for choosing Southern Interiors and our countertop experts to install your stone project. This disclosure confirms that Southern Interiors has notified Purchaser that the stone(s) of their choice, is/are natural stone and a product of nature.

Purchaser understands that because granite is a natural material, quarried from the earth, it will have natural variations in color, shading, veining. Purchaser agrees that these variations are considered the beauty of the natural stone rather than flaws. Purchaser also understands that there may be minor imperfections, blemishes, natural fisures or scratches on the original slab(s) that will be in the finished product installed in purchaser’s home. Southern Interiors does not polish or modify the manufacturer’s original finish during fabrication. Any purchaser who expects blemish free countertops must use an engineered quartz product.

Purchaser understands that marble is a naturally porous stone & prone to etching and staining when used as a countertop. Granite will stain when food or drink messes/spills are not cleaned promptly. Standard cleaning procedures for counter surfaces and periodic application of sealant is recommended.

#2 – Slab Selection and Seam Location Disclosure:

Purchaser understands the actual stone used may differ from any sample or picture previously viewed.

Purchaser agrees that Southern Interiors will determine where seams are located based on the actual slab(s) used and that any questions regarding seam location should be communicated to our office.

#3 – Measure/Template Disclosure:

For new construction projects, all cabinets must be fully set, level and secured in their final position before measure/template. If any cabinets are missing, we will not be able to complete the measure, requiring a return trip, a $250.00 fee, and a delay in the fabrication and installation of your job. This includes all trim pieces, decorative panels and any other cabinet component that will have an effect on the overall measurement of the countertop.

For renovation/remodeling projects, all existing countertops must be removed prior to measure/template unless specifically stated in writing by Southern Interiors. If you would like to measure without removing the existing countertops, you must submit photos of your entire project for evaluation by our field supervisor to determine if removal is necessary prior to measure/template.

Once the original countertops are removed, all cabinets must be fully set, level and secured in their final position before measure/template. If any cabinets are missing, we will not be able to complete the measure, requiring a return trip, a $250.00 fee, and a delay in the fabrication and installation of your job. This includes all trim pieces, decorative panels and any other cabinet component that will have an effect on the overall measurement of the countertop.
